Realtime Reporting

Realtime reporting is the instantaneous translation, via the reporter's notebook computer, of the stenotype stroked by the court reporter on their stenography machine.  The resulting text can then be displayed in realtime on other notebook computers, providing an instant draft of any proceedings.  The equipment used by the court reporter is easily portable and can be taken to any location.  For attorneys, the quality of a realtime transcript allows for access to rough drafts at a more cost-effective rate than for an expedited, certified transcript.

Court Reporting Services, Inc. has been offering clients realtime services since its inception in 1992.  Our team of experienced realtime reporters have conducted realtime proceedings using LiveNote®, Bridge®, Caseview®, Summation® and others, and have successfully streamed deposition text to off-site locations across the United States via the Internet.  We have the equipment and capability to provide as many hookups as required—just let us know in advance.

If you would like to experience the benefits of a realtime session but do not have a laptop with a nine-pin serial port (or nine-pin to USB converter) or the required software, we will be happy to provide you an equipped laptop, at no charge, for use during a realtime proceeding.   Please notify our office well in advance to reserve a laptop for a realtime session.
